Well, folks, that's a wrap.
Last night I flew on a C-17 out of Antarctica and landed in Christchurch, New Zealand just after midnight.
I had to check out all of my cold weather gear at the Clothing Distribution Center, and then, I was free. No more pots, pans, bosses or ice. Today is my first day of vacation. It's not a "day off" because that would imply that I will have a "day on" sometime, and I don't plan to work for a very, very, very long time.
I only slept five hours last night, because the birds kept me up. Hearing animals, kids and noises of the street is overwhelming, so much so, that I've got to go hit the streets again.
I'm walking around like I'm aware I'm living in a dream. My eyes can't handle all of the advertisements, people in shorts and smells of flowers. So, I better go, because I still haven't seen my first cat.
thanks for reading and following my adventure....
