Next Stop Germany

Picture 005.jpg

Finally I remembered to bring a camera to the internet cafe. These our the Kayaks that took us to our own private island called "Ee" by Aitutaki.

Picture 006.jpg

What's whiter? Me or the sand. After this day of swimming the question would become: What's redder me or the kayak.

Kayaking at sunset off of our own place on Muri Beach.

Phil, couldn't you wash dishes there and vacation in Antarctica?

Phil - You can relax in Germany, we already have Duct Tape from that country. Enjoy the change in climate.

Looking good, Phil. It is obvious to me that your lunch time activity was productive after my departure. I'm in one of your homes (SLC) and will be around for a bit. Let me know if you are going to be here before Christmas. Have a good one.

Wow. You know, is it possible to vacation in somebody else's life? Because I would totally vacation in Phil's life.

Phil
Were you kidding a month or so ago when you wrote about the Duct Tape you were sending from MuMurdo to Darlington? You were puzzled as to why? and compared our OM Duct Tape collection and my "interest" in it to that of the guy with the worlds largest ball of twine. I just found out on roadsideamerica.com no kidding that that guy lives in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin! And James Frank Kotera, knowan as J.F.K. who runs the Highland dump there has collected twine since 1975. He now has a ball of twin that looks to be 6 feet tall and 10 feet wide. It weights exactly 19,336 pounds. He knows this because he weights the twine in a bag each time before we weaves it into his ball!!

I just got back from the ISS and looked on mapquest. They now have the satelite image and I pulled up Darlington HS at level 14 I could see cars in the parking lot! The bad news is that the picture was taken 10 years ago. So I'll need some NASA help to get a recent photo of the ISS layout.

Swing by Darlington, WI and I'll take you along to see the largest ball of twine on the way to visit ISS astronaut Jeff Williams parents in Winter, WI. We might as well see the wood carving musuem in Shell Lake, too. What the heck let's look at the world's larges penny in Luck and really make a day of it! No kidding!

Can't wait to see what you see in Germany. Take the time to smell, see, and make the roses.

Lovely pictures! I think that is the first one I've seen of you without some sort of head covering, and the guy whose pic I took at O-fest because he reminded me of you clearly does not look like you, so nevermind. Anyhoo. I'm back in boring old Munich now, after many adventures in NZ (including Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunedin and Chch -- I probably bumped against you in the street somewhere and didn't recognize you : ( -- and even managed to rendezvous with Andr McPenguin!). I just want to point out that the previous invitation still stands, and even extends to Bettina!

And I have a souvenir tee shirt and twine ball from Minnesota. Who knew a living man in Wisconsin is plugging along kicking butt?
well, the shirt DOES say 'largest ball of twine in MINNESOTA:"
